Don’t take Facebook too Seriously

The Craze of Facebook is on its crest these days. Its gives the user a platform where they share their personal stuff, events, moments. The concept of social media is to share personal news of loved one which couldn’t be the local/national/global news. The Traditional method of updating with news is boring and most of all, we don’t care what is happening in Locally/Nationally/Globally. Rather we would like to know what are the interest/hobby/event of loved ones. From where the concept of social media get water for its growth.

But the environment which social media is building is not real although it seems so. Social media is a part of web not whole of it. You need to make friends to publicize yourself. The business what you are dreaming can’t flourish within your friends circle, for that you have to go beyond the the boundaries create by the social media. You can’t built your dream home on others property. For that you should have your own platform and build what you dream ie. your own personal web page.

The popular social media Facebook has option of fan page, which allows to create personal/business web page. You can have page of your business, hobby, profession etc within your friends circle. This is very cheep idea how can one do business with friends. Friends are for other reason of life not off course for business purpose. The fan page status is governed by the “how may likes does it have”. The page owner are always aiming to get most like from friends, for that they are forced to post what other want to hear rather than their own version of story. The like phobia makes the owner to advertise the page to get likes. The the social media is milking their cows.

Your identity is your own property. Get its value and put its price. Making it public only for the comments and likes devaluate your personality. Social media is an unique tool to be in touch with your love ones use it wisely. Don’t let your identity be used by other for their profit.
